K-rauta Tondi: new additional frame and LED-lit banner solution

K-rauta Tondi: new additional frame and LED-lit banner solution

Sometimes a great project starts simply from one idea about how to make an existing surface work better.

In spring 2026, K-rauta reached out asking us to add a large new advertising surface to the Tammsaare side of their Tondi store, one that would fit visually with the existing banner frame and give the building a more complete and more visible look.

The client's idea and initial vision

The initial idea and planned location looked like this. The client wanted to add a second advertising frame of the same dimensions next to the existing one, so the building would have a unified, professional appearance.

Facade modification and preparation

An on-site survey quickly made it clear that this was not just a banner installation. To make the new solution visually correct and professional, the facade needed thorough adjustment before mounting the new frame.

The work included:

  • adapting the existing facade to the new structure's dimensions
  • partial removal of metal ribs
  • fabricating a new custom-size frame
  • integrating LED lighting
  • visually matching the whole solution to the existing advertising surface

Not just a new frame, but the complete visual result

During the project we discovered that the existing frame's lights had aged considerably and were noticeably weaker than the new LED solution.

That would have meant the new advertising surface looking fresh and high quality while the older frame next to it appeared visually mismatched.

For projects like this we always look at the bigger picture, not just the new product in isolation.

So we proposed to the client to also refurbish the existing frame's lighting, so the whole building's advertising solution would be:

  • evenly lit
  • professional
  • visually unified
  • high quality also in the evening view

Scope of the project

The project included:

  • fabricating the new advertising frame
  • LED lighting solution
  • large-format banner production
  • facade preparation and adjustment work
  • refurbishing the existing frame's lighting
  • full on-site installation

The finished result

The final result was completed in cooperation with the K-rauta team and the client was very pleased with the outcome.

The two visually unified advertising surfaces made the entire building facade more visible, more professional and stronger also when viewed from Tammsaare road.

From idea to delivery

For projects like this, what matters most to me is that the client doesn't have to deal with coordinating between different parties.

My job is to take responsibility for the whole process: from idea to delivery.
